Waste Bank-Socio-Economic Empowerment Nexus in Indonesia: The Stance of Maqasid al-Shari?ah

With the rapid increase of waste throughout country, government Indonesia has enacted regulations targeting reduction using religious sentiment. This is employed in Malang City’s “Waste Bank Malang” (WBM). study aims to analyze impact banks on socio-economic progress, and assess their efficacy accomplishing this objective from Maqasid al-Shari?ah perspective. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach uses both primary secondary data sources. found that operation WBM contributes considerably community’s economic social well-being. Likewise, successfully managed by reducing, reusing, recycling it as collected customers. customers receive financial incentives bank return for providing recycled specialized firm under profit-sharing (PLS) contract. As per findings study, rationale aligns with Islamic finance contract PLS arrangements.
